WHEN THE
RIVER RUNS DRY
WHAT CAN I DO?
MAKE A PLEDGE
The Barka (Darling River) was once a vibrant source of life and culture for communities who live along the river.

In recent years, greed and corruption have desecrated this unique landscape, bringing ecosystems to the brink and disrupting cultural practices that have existed for millennia.

When the River Runs Dry has shown government and policy have failed to protect what is most important along a river system.

Will you take the pledge to save the Barka?

By taking the pledge you will:
-
Promote or host a screening to get the word out!
-
Write a letter to Parliament
-
Join a day of action
HOST A SCREENING
Love the film? Want it to come to your cinema?
Host a screening for your networks – friends, workplace, school, this can be private or open to the public - and start a conversation about the issues faced along the Barka, Darling River and across the country. As the host of the event, you can organise the event to include a panel discussion or guest speakers. It will be driven by you so you can do whatever you want!

TAKE A PLEDGE!
FRIENDS OF THE EARTH
FoE sees that pursuing environmental protection is inseparable from broader social concerns, and as a result uses an environmental justice perspective in its campaigning. A strong social perspective means FoE is well placed to develop alliances at the grassroots level with other organisations and communities.
